Hilton Head Island

BEWARE:
There are a lot of photos below of the whole extend Jonas Family vacation at Hilton Head Island. The trip was a lot of fun for all, mainly to celebrate Mike's mom Judy's retirement, Jason's finish of graduate school, and Mike finishing residency.

First we flew into Savannah and stayed the night enjoying the historical scenery and water way nearby. There were lots of little shops (even a candy store that the kids really liked -Jayne was nice enough to share her candy lollipop with Taylor ) We even ate by the water where there were some fun restaurants with fresh fish caught daily. Yummy shrimp! I failed to get a really good picture of the sweeping branches on the trees. They looked cool.

The next day we drove (30-40 mins) to Hilton Head Island, where we stayed at the Marriott Barrony Beach Club Resort. Thanks again Jeff and Judy for the trip. The boys all played three days of golf, while the girls only had one day at the spa and out to lunch, plus look at shops. However, the kids were either swimming at the pool or beach every day. Lots of fun in the sun. Almost too much. Jenni forgot to put sunscreen on her back and got red as a lobster. She was peeling by the end of the trip.

Every night we went out to dinner and one couple would stay behind to watch 7 out of 8 of the kids. It was fun for all. Except one night when Taylor got sick and threw up multiple times. Sorry and thanks Jennifer for taking care of her that night.

One of the nights we all went to go play miniature golf. The kids had a lot of fun. Taylor especially showed a lot of interest (it being her first time) and she was quite proud of herself at the game of golf. Half way through she got pretty tired. I think she didn't have a nap that day and she was done resting on the bench.

THE LIGHT HOUSE
I climbed this 114 step lighthouse, TWICE, carrying two kids! It was just for show, but pretty cool. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach and collecting sea shells nearby.

One day, while the guy were out golfing, we took all the cousins on a fun boat ride. It was a guided tour where we got to learn about the area and see DOLPHINS!!! The kids loved it! Too bad I did not have my camera for that, nor the many fun days at the beach and pool.
