Spring Break in Oregon

For the kids Spring break (early part of March) this year we went to Oregon to visit my sister Sunni and her family the Wests! They live in Medford, OR. We also got a chance to visit the coast. Most of all the cousins enjoyed playing with each other and didn't even mind the cooler weather outside (as long as I could keep a jacket on them).

We finally were able to meet baby Bryson in person for the first time!

Brandon and Taylor (Brandon especially) have enjoyed jumping on trampolines, which my sister had one dug under her ground floor in her backyard. We also have a friend here in Arizona that lets us come over from time to time to jump. They played a lot outside! :)

My kids have really taken a liking to ice skating, so we went in Oregon! We have been 3 times this year so far in 3 months! And Brandon is signed up in May for 3 Saturdays to learn hockey for free!

The last two days of our trip we headed to the coast (a little over 2 hours away). Sunni's husband Lance works in Brookings once a month. Although the weather was wet and rainy the kids seemed to still have fun!

The kids enjoyed feeding the seagulls from the balcony of the hotel we were staying at overlooking the ocean as well as on the beach. Plus there were a few squirrels!

One beach along the coast we went to chase the waves, although the water quickly went into Brandon's rain boots and he was done there!

But another area where the tide was low we got to do a little tide pooling hands on and see some sea anemones, star fish, hermit crabs, and a lot of shells (lots of them attached to the rocks). We collected a lot of shells, including some hermit crabs. But when we returned the crabs to the hotel we put them in fresh water and they died. :( That day was still a lot of fun! The rain had stopped so we were able to get out and explore, plus visit the lighthouse nearby.
